The International Training and Methodological Center for Financial Monitoring (abbreviated as ITMCFM) was established on December 12, 2005 by the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring and is designed to implement a set of measures to counter the legalization (laundering) of illegal income including the organization of the training process for non-bank organizations - subjects of execution of Federal Law 115-FL In particular, the service is responsible for the organizational and technical support for the participation of the Russian Federation in international events in the designated area.
Project goals and issues
The customer's IT specialists were faced with the task of finding adequate replacement for the Polycom RMX 2000 platform for organizing multimedia conferencing in real time. Since videoconferences conducted by the training center are attended by external users, the video conferencing system must be compatible with the videoconferencing equipment of leading world vendors.
Project implementation and results
All this requirements were met by the video conferencing solutions of the Vinteo domestic developer. The system for organizing video conferencing of the educational and methodological center includes 20 licenses of the Vinteo server and allows largescale video conferencing combining various equipment: Cisco, Polycom, etc. video conferencing records. An additional specificity of the implementation was that it was nessasary to come up with a technical solution for videoconferencing with forein speakers and simultaneous translation. Vinteo's philosophy is that video conferencing should be tailored to the needs of customers and not vice verca so the company develops and implements customer oriented solutions. So especially for this case Vinteo emploeers came up with a scenario in which two separate conferences are created making a call to each other. Accordingly the participants in each of the conferences hear their interpreter and translators hear their opponents.
